The national government, through the Ministry of Finance, is pushing for the introduction of an E-Government Procurement system. While it is being presented as a step towards transparency, in reality, it will disadvantage local traders from doing business with counties.
Under this system, every procurement, even for simple items like tissue paper will be placed openly online. This automatically gives an upper hand to individuals and companies with advanced knowledge of the system, while sidelining ordinary business people who live and operate in the villages.
We firmly oppose the EGP system because it is a calculated move by the national government to control and micromanage counties, an act that threatens and undermines the very spirit of devolution.

These officers could have surrendered themselves to the authorities. They are law-abiding citizens.
Instead, they chose a path that created unnecessary tension and drama, seemingly to give the impression that action is being taken.
Such theatrics only erode public trust and undermine genuine accountability.
But again, we remain unbowed, unshaken, and defiant!

Governor Natembeya at Milimani Law Courts for the mention of his corruption case
Natembeya, I’ve heard Moses Wetang’ula mocking me, claiming that I’m pulling him down in Luhya politics. Let me be clear — I am not in this to serve individuals; I am here to serve the people. If anyone is pulling the Luhya community down, it is him. I refuse to keep quiet while he continues to use the Luhya name for his own personal gain.
I see through the games — the backroom deals, the empty promises, the selective leadership. For years, Wetang’ula has positioned himself as a Luhya kingpin, but what has he done for the ordinary Mulembe person? I am not afraid to say it: I will not allow our community to be used as a political ladder for selfish ambitions.
I am focused on real issues — development, jobs, dignity for our people — not political theatrics. If speaking the truth makes me his enemy, so be it. I will not bow to political gatekeepers. The era of blind loyalty is over. It’s time the Luhya people stood for honest, transformative leadership — not recycled rhetoric.
