It is a dream come true for the residents of Kamuma in Tenges Ward, who have lived in darkness for years without electricity. Today, the story is different. In the company of CS Opiyo Wandayi and area MP Hon. Joshua Kandie, we visited Kamuma and Tumek villages for the Last Mile Electrification project, which will now enable residents to live like other Kenyans.
I also took the opportunity to request the CS to consider extending electricity to other villages in Tenges Ward that are still without power, and he accepted the request.

Today, I joined Wycliffe Oparanya and other leaders at a coffee sensitization forum in Kabarnet, where farmers were urged to take advantage of the KSh 8.7 billion Coffee Cherry Fund to boost productivity and incomes.
The government, through the New Kenya Planters Cooperative Union, is also distributing subsidized seedlings, while Baringo County continues to support farmers with improved varieties, training, and fertilizer programs.

During the Farmers’ Empowerment Initiative and the official launch of Baringo County as one of the tea-growing regions, this move will diversify our agricultural base, enhance household incomes, and create sustainable livelihoods for our people.

Saddened to learn of the passing of a great man, Retired Councillor Samuel Cheptoo, who passed away on Friday.
Hon. Cheptoo will be remembered as a humble and dedicated servant who devoted many years of his life to serving the people of Kabarnet.
His leadership, wisdom, and commitment to the development of our municipality earned him great respect and admiration from the community he faithfully served.
As the family prepares to lay him to rest, we continue to pray that God grants them strength, comfort, and peace during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Hon. Cheptoo. Your service and legacy will forever remain in our hearts.

It is a very sad evening following the news of the passing of Hon. Johana Ngeno, the Member of Parliament for Emurua Dikir, Narok County.
This heartbreaking incident occurred after a tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Hon. Ngeno and five others on the spot.
We have lost a brother in service—one who was deeply passionate about his constituents and a committed Kalenjin leader, seen by many as a future kingpin.
On behalf of myself, my family, and the people of Baringo County, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the late Hon. Johana Ngeno and the other five occupants of the ill-fated helicopter.
Poleni sana.
