Later in the evening, I visited the family of my immediate neighbour, the late Henry Kiplimo Simatei, at their home in Kapchumba, to convey my heartfelt condolences following his passing.

Henry was more than just a neighbour; he was like family. He was a devoted family man who raised his children with strong values, a Christian and a hardworking farmer.

His passing is a deeply personal loss to me and a great loss to the family and our community. I extend my sincere condolences to his family, relatives and friends, and pray that God grants them strength, comfort and peace during this difficult time.

May the soul of the late Henry Kiplimo Simatei rest in eternal peace.

Joined the family, friends and the community at Kapchumba during the burial of the late Mzee Michael Kipkemei Keter (Christopher), to bid farewell to a cherished elder and valued member of our community.

Mzee Christopher was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of ACK St. Thomas Kapchumba. He was also a dedicated farmer who lived a life defined by hard work, humility, kindness and commitment to his family and community.

I conveyed my heartfelt condolences to his family, relatives and friends, and prayed that God grants them strength, comfort and peace during this difficult time.

May the soul of the late Mzee Michael Kipkemei Keter rest in eternal peace.

Visited the family of the late Mwalimu Hassan Kiptanui Biwot (Kapchebises) in Kiptenden, Tulon Location, Kilibwoni Ward, to convey my heartfelt condolences following their loss.

The late Hassan was a teacher at AIC Cheliliat Academy and a devoted husband, father, son, brother and valued member of our community. His passing is a great loss to his family, the teaching fraternity and the people of Emgwen.

I extend my deepest sympathies to his wife, Flora, his children Dennis, Brian and Leticia, his parents, siblings, relatives and friends during this difficult time.

May God grant the family strength, comfort and peace as they come to terms with this loss and prepare to lay their loved one to rest.

NDUBENETI WATER PROJECT 💧

This morning, I accompanied the National Irrigation Secretary and engineers from the National Irrigation Authority to Ndubeneti for a site investigation ahead of the final design and costing of the Ndubeneti Water Project.

Once the design is completed, we shall invite the Principal Secretary for Irrigation to visit the site for public participation and engagement with residents. Thereafter, upon completion of the tendering process, we look forward to having the Head of Public Service, Hon. Felix Koskei, commission the project.

The Government, through the Ministry of Irrigation, has allocated funds towards the development of this important water project.

The proposed works will include desilting of the dam, construction of a reservoir tank, and installation of a water distribution network to supply water to homes in the surrounding areas.

The project is expected to benefit residents of Ndubeneti, Terige, Lolminingai, Tulon, Kipchunu/Pelekenya and neighbouring areas.

Step by step, we are working towards reliable and accessible water for our people.

We have successfully secured funds for the maximization of two transformers, which will see about 200 households connected to electricity.

The next step is obtaining the necessary wayleave consents, after which construction works will commence almost immediately.

The Government, through the Ministry of Irrigation, has allocated funds for the development of two key water projects:

1. Emdin - Kapnganio Dam Water Project
2. Ndubeneti - Chesogor Dam Water Project

The works will involve desilting of the dams, construction of reservoir tanks, and installation of a water distribution network to supply homes in the surrounding areas.

Electricity survey works are currently ongoing in Kaptendon, Kimolwo, 34 and Chebutany villages, targeting over 250 households for connection to electricity.

The survey and design exercise will pave the way for costing and implementation of the last-mile connectivity projects.

Step by step, we are working towards connecting more homes across Emgwen.
