*Concerned about rising cases of unwanted pregnancies among young girls in the area, Kisumu County Senator Prof Tom Ojienda's office made another impactful stop at Orongo Secondary School in Kisumu East Constituency to advance the Pad A Girl Initiative. The "Divas Of Ojienda" team engaged students in menstrual hygiene discussions and pregnancy prevention education while distributing sanitary towels to girls from vulnerable families.*

*The ongoing programme addresses both the practical and educational needs of learners, helping to break the cycle of early pregnancy and ensure girls stay in school.*

'Pad a girl' is an initiative that aims at empowering girls through menstrual hygiene talks , girl to girl talk. The Office of Kisumu County Senator Led by Warembo Na Ojienda have launched the third Phase of 'PAD A GIRL INITIATIVE' at Ayaro Mixed School an activity that aims at empowering Young girls restoring their dignity through Support of Sanitary towel.

Sanitary towels are basic necessity to the girls whom most of them cannot afford because they are expensive and it's in this backdrop that some girls are being taken advantage of.
