Ahero Awasi Municipality kicked off the year with its first staff meeting yesterday, setting priorities for progress and listening to staff concerns.

Happening now at the Huduma Centre in Ahero Town:
Ahero–Awasi Municipality Board Members, Secretariat staff, and business representatives from various sectors are participating in a capacity-building session on the establishment of the Gender Mainstreaming and Sexual & Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) Management Committee.

This initiative aims to strengthen gender equality efforts and enhance coordinated response to SGBV within the municipality.

Today, staff held a consultative meeting to discuss the formation of a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Mainstreaming Committee and gather input on its structure and objectives. Ahero–Awasi Municipality Board members were also in attendance and shared valuable insights. 💪🏽

Today Ahero_Awasi Municipal Manager, Lazarus Orengo hosted a team of consultants from State Department of Housing & Urban Development regarding Ahero Affordable Housing .

They inspected the proposed site for the project . The area Assistant County Commissioner and the MCA's representative were in attendance.

The dedicated GIS Ahero–Awasi Municipality Team stands united before setting out for field data collection — building the foundation for a smarter, connected municipality.

Today Ahero_Awasi Municipal Manager together with the area MCA ,ACC, OCS & Traffic Base Commander engaged the Ahero informal sectors on parking and relocation of traders from road reserves .

This is one of the activities the Municipality has planned for the reorganization process.
