We are pleased to announce a limited sponsorship program at the Railway Training Institute (RTI) for youths from Changamwe Constituency.

Available Courses:
* Locomotive Driving (1 Year)
* Locomotive Maintenance (9 Months)
* Rolling Stock Maintenance (9 Months)
* Railway Passenger Operations (9 Months)

Sponsorship Package:
* Changamwe NG-CDF will cater for 70% of the tuition fees.
* Parents/Guardians will cover 30% of the tuition fees.
* Accommodation fee: KSh 30,000 per semester (paid by the parent/guardian).

Earlier today, we commissioned a new ablution block at Ahmed Shahame Technical Training Institute, a key step toward improving sanitation and creating a more conducive learning environment for our students.

We then proceeded to award bursary cheques to college and university students. A total of Ksh 17,926,000 was disbursed to 2,488 beneficiaries, clear proof that dreams matter and that investing in education is investing in the future of our community.

We were honoured by the presence of the Deputy County Commissioner Mr. Kipkeoch Labatt, Principals - Mr. John Musembi (ASMTTI), Mr. Elias Waswa (Milele Africa Institute), Mrs. Nawwar Hammad (KUCCPS Regional Coordinator), MCAs - Hon. Frankline Makanga (Chaani Ward), Hon. Benard Ogutu (Changamwe Ward) among other distinguished guests who joined us in this impactful exercise.

Together, we continue to empower our youth through education and opportunity.

Earlier today, we launched the Changamwe NG-CDF bursary cheques for our secondary school students in a significant step towards supporting education in our constituency.

A total of 7,296 students have benefited from the Ksh 43,299,000 allocated, reinforcing our commitment to ensure that no child drops out of school due to lack of school fees. Education remains the greatest equalizer and we will continue investing in our learners to secure a brighter future for Changamwe.

We were honoured to be joined by H.E. Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir, whose School Feeding Program in public schools has greatly helped ease the burden on parents and contributed to reducing school fee challenges.

Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of prioritizing education, urging parents and guardians to remain actively involved in the academic progress of their children through regular follow-up and participation in school activities.

Also in attendance were the Regional Director of Education Mrs. Ann Kiilu, Sub-County Director of Education Mrs. Fatuma Omara, Changamwe MCAs, and other leaders who came to support this important initiative.

Together, we remain steadfast in ensuring that our children stay in school and achieve their dreams.

Parents and guardians are kindly informed that bursary cheques for Secondary School students will be issued this coming Saturday, 14th March 2026.

All parents are encouraged to attend as the event will also feature guest speakers who will address various issues affecting education standards in our constituency, including ways we can collectively support our students to achieve better academic outcomes.

Your presence and participation will be highly appreciated as we work together to strengthen education in our community.

Accompanied by the NG-CDF Committee, today we inspected completed and ongoing laboratory projects at Magongo Comprehensive School and St. Charles Lwanga Secondary School respectively.

These facilities will greatly enhance practical learning for our students by creating an enabling and conducive environment for academic excellence. Access to well-equipped laboratories is a key step toward improving performance in science subjects and preparing our learners for future careers.

We were equally impressed by the quality workmanship demonstrated by our local contractors. Well done.
