Mombasa Governor H.E Abdulswammad Shariff Nassir today conducted an impromptu visit to the Mombasa County Inspectorate Headquarters to review the rigorous training of the newly enlisted inspectorate officers from every ward in Mombasa.
Through such initiatives, the county is creating vital employment opportunities while fostering a disciplined, ethical, and community-driven inspectorate Unit that advocates for justice and respect.

Governance & Serikali Mtaani Chief Officer, Mr. Abdallah Daleno, together with Directors Mr. Mohamed Bates (Sub-County Administration), Mr. Said Guleid (Inspectorate), and Ms. Somoe Sheile (Human Resource & Administration), formally signed their performance contracts today.

The signing ceremony, held at the Inspectorate Headquarters, was presided over by The Deputy Governor and CECM for Governance, H.E. Francis Thoya, and attended by Sub-County Administrators, Inspectorate Divisional Commanders, and key departmental officials.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Governor underscored the significance of unwavering commitment to duty, urging the officials to diligently uphold the responsibilities enshrined in their contracts and to execute their mandates with integrity, efficiency, and dedication to public service.

Newly appointed Mombasa County Inspectorate officers are undergoing a three-day induction training program focused on public service policies and procedures. This initiative, in partnership with the Mombasa County Public Service Board, aims to equip officers with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective service.

As the Department of Inspectorate, we are taking bold steps to restore order and ensure road safety in County 001 in partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies under the Global Road Safety Initiative.

Through proper planning and enforcement, we aim to create safer, organized roads and sidewalks for all.

Today the governor of Mombasa H.E Abdulswammad Shariff Nassir joined key stakeholders at the launch of the Mombasa County Road Safety Report to reinforce our commitment to protecting lives and promoting safe journeys across the county.
