Just In: British researcher Paul Williams, who converted to Islam, reveals the decisive moment that made him believe that Muhammad is the true Prophet:
Williams says:
"There is no doubt in my mind that Muhammad is the true Prophet sent by God, but what personally convinced me the most of the truth of his prophethood was what happened on the day his infant son Ibrahim passed away; that very day coincided with a solar eclipse ☀️🌑.
Some people in Madinah said that the sun eclipsed out of grief for the death of the Prophet's son, and this rumor spread among them. This would have been the perfect moment for any false claimant to prophethood to exploit the situation to prove his legitimacy by claiming the sun grieved for him .
Yet, the noble Messenger did the exact opposite, immediately correcting this misconception and stating with absolute clarity and objectivity:
'Indeed, the sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of God. They do not eclipse for the death of anyone, nor for his life.'
At that moment, I realized with certainty that Muhammad is truly the Prophet of God. Had he wanted to exploit the situation to prove his prophethood, he would have let people believe the eclipse happened because of his son's death. Instead, he denied it himself, refusing to attribute a cosmic phenomenon to himself or his son.
This confirms that he does not speak out of his own desire, but rather delivers what is revealed to him:
﴿Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination. It is not but a revelation revealed,﴾ [An-Najm: 3-4] 📖✨"
