The Fund last week held a capacity building session for technical officers on Risk Monitoring & Resolution that was facilitated by senior officers from the Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation. The four-day session delved into areas of convergence in risk profiling and early detection, compensation methodologies and resolution frameworks. As the only other financial sector safety net player the Fund's partnership and collaboration with the KDIC is key in enhancing best practices that will ensure better outcomes for policyholders and claimants.

Curtains Close on Successful PCFMtaani Sensitization Forum in Narok
The PCFMtaani sensitization forum successfully concluded this afternoon in Narok after five days of impactful engagement and community outreach.
The final day was a resounding success, bringing together key stakeholders from KNUT, KUPPET, NGAOs, persons with disabilities (PWDs), women and youth groups, co-operative societies, religious organizations, and the Chamber of Commerce.
Participants were taken through the Fund’s mandate and its pivotal role in enhancing the insurance industry. The forum provided a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and increased awareness, reinforcing the Fund's commitment to inclusivity and financial empowerment across all sectors of society.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all partners and participants who contributed to the success of this important initiative.

The Policyholders Compensation Fund (PCF) has commenced a week-long sensitization program in Narok County as part of its ongoing county-based outreach initiative. The program is designed to raise awareness among stakeholders about the Fund’s role and mandate in safeguarding the interests of policyholders in the insurance sector.
This initiative also provides an important opportunity to call out claimants of the following defunct insurance companies to lodge their claims: United Insurance Company, Xplico Insurance Company, Blueshield Insurance Company, and Invesco Insurance Company.

Earlier today, the Inaugural Africa Insurance Resolution Conference kicked off as PCF marks 20 years of policyholders compensation. The Conference, themed: Strengthening Insurance Sector Resilience Beyond Failure: Resolution Policy & Practice was officially opened by PCF Chairman Hon. Simon Mbugua on behalf of Treasury and Economic Planning CS, Hon. John Mbadi. Delegates from Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda, Zambia, Kazakhstan and various other countries gathered at the Edge Convention Centre in South C, Nairobi to deliberate on challenges and opportunities in the Insurance industry.

PCF@20: To mark this milestone, PCF will be hosting an Inaugural Africa Insurance Resolution Conference 2025 scheduled for 5th - 7th May 2025 at the Edge Convention Center, Nairobi, Kenya, to share and learn experiences in international resolution best practices from various jurisdictions. The theme of the conference will be Strengthening Insurance Sector Resilience Beyond Failure: Resolution, Policy & Practice. This is a premier global gathering of regulators, policymakers, resolution experts, industry leaders, and government representatives.
