Recognizing the urgent need to strengthen healthcare systems and empower young people across our continent, Hon. Bolumbe Hermione of the DRC, the West Africa Coordinator of the Africa Young Parliamentarians Network, recently led a meaningful engagement in Lubumbashi.

Through the HBO Foundation, she supported the University Clinics of Lubumbashi with medical equipment to strengthen anesthesia services, while also engaging and supporting youth initiatives in Haut-Katanga Province.

Today, our Chairperson Hon. FCPA Francis Kuria Kimani joined fellow leaders and stakeholders at the launch of the Parliamentary Maternal, Adolescent and Child Health (MNCH) Caucus. The engagement, convened by HENNET in partnership with the Global Health Advocacy Incubator, brought together policymakers committed to strengthening immunization financing and improving maternal and child health outcomes.

During the forum, Hon. Kuria Kimani reaffirmed his commitment to champion increased budgetary allocation for immunization both in Kenya and across the African region, recognizing that sustainable financing is essential to protecting the health and future of our communities.

As the Africa Young Parliamentarians Network, we remain committed to advancing policies that promote quality, affordable and accessible healthcare for all across Africa, with immunization and stronger health systems remaining a key priority.

Aujourd’hui, notre Président, l’Hon. FCPA Francis Kuria Kimani, a rejoint d’autres dirigeants et parties prenantes lors du lancement du Caucus parlementaire sur la santé maternelle, des adolescents et des enfants (MNCH). Au cours de ce forum, l’Hon. Kuria Kimani a réaffirmé son engagement à plaider pour une augmentation des allocations budgétaires consacrées à la vaccination, au Kenya mais aussi dans l’ensemble de la région africaine, soulignant que le financement durable est essentiel pour protéger la santé et l’avenir de nos communautés.
