Tribute to Dr. Steve Fawcett and the Community Toolbox Team.
Today, I want to honor Dr. Steve Fawcett and his incredible colleagues who co-created the Community Tool Box—a truly transformational resource that has changed the way communities learn, act, and grow.
The Community Tool Box is more than just a guide; it is “a common, freely accessible place where anyone could learn skills for changing the world.” For practitioners, volunteers, students, and community leaders like myself, it has been an invaluable companion—providing practical tools, frameworks, and inspiration to drive meaningful, sustainable change.
Thanks to their vision and dedication, thousands of us around the globe now have the knowledge and confidence to tackle real challenges in our communities. The impact is tangible: stronger collaborations, empowered leaders, and lives transformed.
Dr. Fawcett and team, your work has not only educated but has sparked action. You’ve made the world a little smaller, a lot smarter, and infinitely more hopeful.
