This afternoon National Assembly Speaker Hon. Moses Wetangula has ruled granting Jubilee Party the status of an Independent Parliamentary Political Party in the National Assembly.
This therefore elevates Ag. Party Leader to a substantive Whip of the Party in the National Assembly.

Earlier today, Members of the Jubilee Party National Executive Committee held a meeting at the Party's Headquarters.
They resolved that the party will hold a Special NDC on 22nd of July 2023.

Public institutions are apolitical and make decisions based on the law not threats.
Numbers don't lie. For any resolutions to be passed as per our party constitution, you need at least a third of the NEC membership. As it stands the purpoted SNDC by former the party leader was nothing but an Azimio political rally. ~ Adviceroi Mundalo

Our party constitution is the foundation of our operations. The Jubilee Party Constitution makes it clear that any NEC meeting must have a quorum of at least a third of the members.
In the meeting held on April 28, whose agenda included holding an NDC, only nine members were present. Among the nine members, Hon. Maison and Mr. Polycarp Hinga are not NEC members. This leaves the attendance at seven members, three of whom were already suspended.
Pursuant to the Jubilee Party Constitution, this was not a NEC meeting, and any resolutions passed therefore do not hold water. Jubilee is a progressive party that follows the rule of law, and members who do not respect our constitution and laws should not be tolerated.

In accordance to the Internal Dispute Resolution Committee(IDRC), the Special National Delegates Convention (SNDC) scheduled for Monday next week remains suspended pending the IDRC hearing to be held on 26th May 2023.

Statement by the Jubilee Party National Executive Committee.
Political parties are not owned by individuals, they are owned by the people. We will be going to the grassroots, to meet the people and do an introspection of our performance in the previous election, and to chart new paths for 2027 and beyond. As Jubilee Party, we will work with like minded people who respect us.

The purported NDC scheduled for 22nd of May 2023 remains suspended and against the party constitution. The intended venue for the faction meeting is fully booked and will not be available on the said date. Formal communication will come through our social media platforms and the party website.
