Dear Kenyans,

Fellow Kenyans, you are called upon to exercise your respective constitutional power as citizens and call to order our governing public entities including the opposition coalition party and the government to be accountable for the performance of their respective legal mandates.

In the recent past since the beginning of the opposition civil disobedience, both parties including the government have mishandled and politicized demos witnessed across the country. Good that the President is reaching out to the citizens directly for dialogue however his advisers are to some extent misleading him. The President need not be presumed arrogant and defensive on the concerns being raised hence he will beat the opposition in their own game diplomatically without chaos and noise from the opposition.

The Opposition should also factor in the consequences and benefits of variant strategies and approaches toward the pressing public concerns so that we don't end up lost in the revolution struggles.

PUBLIC FEEDBACK ON KENYA'S OPPOSITION LEADERS' 20TH MARCH 2023 POLITICAL DEMONSTRATIONS:

It's with great gratitude to our able opposition leaders in Kenya for having organized successful, peaceful, and issue-based political demonstrations within Kenya's capital city, Nairobi among other parts of the country.

Of great concern is how the government handled the demonstrators who by law were exercising their civic rights which are constitutionally guaranteed.

Going forward;
1. We expect both actors in any form of dispute or conflict to strictly abide by the rule of law regardless of their respective capacities i.e right holder or duty bearer in seeking solutions.

2. The opposition should enhance public awareness to avoid being misinterpreted by other players including the police who are constitutionally mandated to maintain law and order.

3. Policymakers should come up with an act of Parliament on financing and facilitation of peaceful demonstrations as a civic duty by private citizens, public officers, and state officers to boost participation by the agitators and constructive engagement by the respective audience.

4. Azimio one Kenya coalition party should roll out intensive public mobilization on the key issues they are challenging the government on, hence winning popular public support.

5. Those opposed to the ongoing demonstration should propose solutions and not cry aloud than the bereaved| Victims, they are the advantaged class of citizens who do not feel the concerns raised by the rioting citizens.

More to follow.
