Hon. Moses Kuria chaired a meeting with UDA Party aspirants who participated in the Ol Kalou Party primaries, reaffirming the Party's commitment to unity, transparency and collective progress following the nomination process.

The meeting emphasized the importance of maintaining cohesion and working together towards a common goal as the Party prepares for the upcoming Ol Kalou Constituency by-election on the 16th of July 2026.

This was after the UDA Party nominee for the Ol Kalou Constituency by-election, Samuel Muchina Nyagah, was officially issued with his nomination certificate by the UDA Party Secretary General Sen. Hassan Omar the Chairperson of the National Election Board, Eng. Anthony Mwaura and the Chairperson of the EDRC Board Dr. Adrian Kamotho.

Present were Nyandarua County Woman Representative Hon. Faith Gitau, Members of County Assembly Karanja Muhindi (Ndaragwa Central), Steven Mureithi (Nominated), Kariuki Muhindi (Nominated), and UDA Party Head of Digital Communication Ms. Antonellah Kakuko among other leaders.

United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Secretary General Sen. Hassan Omar Hassan, at the invitation of H.E. Dr. Adarsh Swaika, the High Commissioner of India to Kenya, today held bilateral consultations at the Embassy of India in Gigiri, Nairobi.

The two leaders discussed the importance of strengthening cooperation and building strategic synergies in the context of the emerging multipolar global order and in the spirit of the South-South cooperation.

The discussion focused on deepening collaboration in trade and investment, ICT and the digital economy, health and pharmaceuticals, education and scholarships, defence and maritime security, agriculture and energy, as well as capacity building and technical training.

The consultations also explored avenues for enhanced party-to-party engagement anchored on mutual respect and shared development aspirations.

H.E. Dr. Swaika emphasized the need to further invigorate bilateral economic cooperation in order to address trade imbalances and unlock greater shared prosperity for both nations.

Sen. Hassan reiterated UDA’s commitment, as the ruling party and custodian of the people’s democratic mandate, to continue nurturing and consolidating the historic ties between Kenya and India for the mutual benefit of the two friendly and fraternal nations.

In attendance were the Head of the Consular wing Embassy of India, Mr. Sudeep Kulasarf and Sabastian Mwangangi, the Special Advisor to the Secretary-General.

Following the decisive victory of Samuel Muchina Nyagah in the UDA party primaries, we have officially issued him with the Certificate of Nomination, affirming his position as the Party’s candidate for the Ol Kalou Constituency by-election scheduled for 14th July 2026.

We have completed our internal democratic process, and our focus shifts to the grassroots as we prepare to deploy our political architecture and a well-coordinated campaign to win the vote and confidence of the Ol Kalou electorate. The campaign will be built on an unwavering commitment to the Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), inclusive development, and tangible progress that leaves no Ol Kalou resident behind.

UDA Secretary General, Sen. Hassam Omar Hassan expressed confidence in the candidate and lauded the National Elections Board (NEB) for conducting free, fair, and credible nominations with only one dispute lodged and successfully adjudicated upon by Dr. Adrian Kamotho-led Electoral and Nomination Dispute Resolution Committee (ENDRC).

Nyandarua County Woman Representative, Hon. Faith Gitau expressed her gratitude to President William Ruto for development projects across Nyandarua County.
