We condemn the brutal killing of Albert Ojwang’ (Alberto Januzaj), a fearless anti-corruption activist who died under suspicious circumstances at Central Police Station, Nairobi. Albert had recently exposed misconduct by a senior police officer—only to be silenced in custody leaves us with no option but to ask the following questions;
- Who ordered his detention?
- Why was he unprotected in custody?
- Why is there no credible report on his death?
- Was he targeted for speaking out?

This killing reflects a blatant cover-up and violates the ODM-UDA government agreement on justice and rights and therefore demends as follows;

1. Immediate suspension and arrest of all involved officers.
2. Independent investigation with CCTV access, witness accounts, and full autopsy disclosure.
3. Resignation and prosecution of the implicated Deputy IG.
4. Parliamentary summons for the Interior CS and IG to explain the death.
5. Fast-tracking the Whistleblower Protection Bill.

We stand with Albert’s family and all youth fighting injustice. *We will not rest until there is truth, justice, and accountability.*
