Today, we proudly recognize 97 youth in our AVTES project for acquiring skills in vehicle mechanics, salon and beauty, tailoring, and ICT. We also appreciate Kenya Community Development Foundation for supporting us in making this initiative a success.

This week we held a feeding program planted trees and a medical camp in collaboration with our visitors and Fatima Mission Hospital. We targeted residents from our locality affected by the ongoing flood crisis.

On 06.09.2023, we held an introductory meeting with Kiserian branch officers of Hand in Hand Kenya and our VSLA groups. The meeting was to describe their intervention method and encourage strengthening of the VSLA groups through training on microfinance and social justice.

On 05.09.2023, we had a great day with young women of Ol Donyo Nyokie and Naserian, Kajiado West County. We shared donations and engaged them on ways to capacity build and on socio-economic empowerment. In attendance was the area ass' chief and Maendeleo ya Wanawake Chairlady.

THEME: ELIMINATING HARMFUL PRACTICES AFFECTING CHILDREN
Let children be children.
Without children, the world would be devoid of sunshine, laughter, and love. That is why the
Evangelizing Sisters of Mary Mission Animation Program believes children are the most precious
creation in the world. We should protect, guide and love them with all our might, for they are our
greatest treasures.
To improve the living conditions of people residing in Kenya’s informal settlements through
transformative economic and social empowerment programs is our mission as Evangelizing Sisters of
Mary Mission Animation Program that drives us to archive a transformed society where everyone has
access to basic needs and where social justice and human right is the pillar of human growth.
In this year, 2023 we celebrate our children for the transformative progress they have achieved through
our programs. Mostly we have been encountering several reports of harmful practices to our children in
the community. Recently, we have been able to rescue a child from so**my. The caregivers were not
aware this evil act had been going on and that an old man in the home area, the perpetrator, was the
culprit. We as ESM Mission Animation Program intervened in the case and reported the incident to the
children department at the police station. Action was taken and the child is now in school comfortably
learning and going through therapy sessions with our counselor for his psychological health.

On this day: 8th May 2023, hosted by The Youth Agenda, we participated in the draft review of the Kenya Community Development Foundation - Nairobi City County Community of Practice Engagement Framework that would ,upon signing, govern the Implementing Partners in their operation within the Community of Practice.

We had the opportunity to attend and actively participate in the first Community Of Practice seminar hosted by Kenya Community Development Foundation and The Youth Agenda at the Monarch Hotel, Kilimani. Common thematic areas of action were established and a road map for the year 2023 drafted.
