Ahead of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2025, the NYS Disaster Management Unit was instrumental in today's Emergency Response and Essential Services Preparedness Plan exercise at Kasarani Stadium.

In order to improve preparedness for any unanticipated events during the tournament, the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports, CAF Local Organizing Committee, and other Security and Disaster management organizations collaborated to coordinate the simulation..

An all-female batch of provost officers graduated in a vibrant procession at the NYS Technical Training Institute in Naivasha in a groundbreaking ceremony that was the first of its kind.
On behalf of the Commandant General, Loice Koech, Director of the Paramilitary Academy, SACG, presided over a historic milestone.

In addition to being a ceremonial, this procession made a strong message about NYS's dedication to professionalism, diversity, empowering women in uniform, and guaranteeing equitable opportunity for all.
"As Provost Officers, your responsibility is not merely to enforce regulations but to exemplify the highest ideals of integrity, respect, and fairness in the Service," the Director urged the graduates.

While the Provost Marshal, SP. Kiambati Sandara, HSC, encouraged the graduates to serve with devotion.
