H.E Zachary Okoth Obado with county executive in charge of lands,attending an executive urban leadership conference -our vision is to have well planned urban centres.The department is mid-way in the process of planning our five major towns namely Migori,Rongo,Isebania,Awendo and Sori.

On the 29th and 30th October,the department of lands, hosted top officials from the National Housing Corporation to further our earlier engagement in having affordable low cost housing schemes for civil servants and the general residents of Migori county:This will be done in two phases running concurrently and it is our sincere hope that in following all the legalities,we should be able to ground break soon.......

Looking for a way forward..... On 04/06/2015,his excellency the governor,Zachariah Okoth Obado,the county executive in-charge of lands Elizabeth Ochaye,lands director Dennis Oiro,county surveyor and legal affairs counsel met Bishop Philip Anyolo and his team where a committee was formed comprising members from either side in seeking to resolve the land issues.who said we are fighting.....?

Opening up of access roads in Nyatike constituency in collaboration with the department of roads ,kitungi-wath Ong'er-sere road,existing in maps but not on the ground.

As ministry of lands,housing and physical planning,we wish to register our displeasure with the article on the ministry in the state of the counties pull out appearing in the daily nation newspaper dated 21st April 2015.our achievements as a ministry were totally misrepresented.keep it here for a post on the mission ,vision,achievements and challenges faced by the ministry as we celebrate the success of devolution by the counties.

This is to inform the general public that the registry remains closed for the next ten working days,as per our notices in the local dailies on the 27th of March 2015.Kindly bear with us as we embark on digitalization to make our services to the people of migori even better,in partnership with the National Government.
