This weekend, our hearts were full. 💛
On 13th December, Members of PUMC traveled to Kisumu to spend time at the Kisumu Children's Remand Home, where we had the privilege of speaking with and blessing young boys and girls on a journey of rehabilitation. Some come from the streets, others from broken homes, but all carry potential, dreams, and a future worth believing in.
Beyond the conversations on discipline, purpose, and hope, we cooked chapatis together, shared lunch, laughed freely, and simply enjoyed each other’s company. In those moments, walls faded and humanity took center stage—no labels, just people sharing a meal and a moment.
We left encouraged, humbled, and grateful—reminded that presence, kindness, and belief can light even the quietest corners. The future remains bright. 🌱

On 27th September 2025, we were at Kamnarok, Baringo County!
Our EcoRangers came through in a powerful way extending love, care, and hope to the community. 💚
Beyond planting trees, we reached out to the young learners of Turuturu Primary School and Lake Kamnarok Primary School. The girls received sanitary towels to support their dignity and confidence, while both girls and boys were equipped with much needed stationery and books to enhance their learning journey. 📚✏️
This initiative was not only about the environment, but also about breaking barriers, empowering education, and showing the next generation that they are seen, valued, and supported.
Together, we planted hope in the soil and in young hearts.

🌿✨ A Day of Purpose at Kamnarok, Baringo County ✨🌿
Today, we at PUMC had the great privilege of making a real difference … planting 1,000 trees at Kamnarok alongside our dedicated PUMC EcoRangers as part of our ongoing CSR activities.
But our impact didn’t stop there. 💚
Our EcoRangers extended love and care to the community by donating sanitary towels to girls at Turuturu Primary School and Lake Kamnarok Primary School, as well as providing stationery and books to the children.
In partnership with the Baringo County Ministry of Tourism, we have also committed to:
✅ Supporting ecological activities around Lake Kamnarok.
✅ Assisting Turuturu and Lake Kamnarok Primary Schools with water accessibility.
✅ Fencing the area to protect the 1,000 young trees from livestock, ensuring they thrive for generations to come.
This initiative was more than just about trees … it was about hope, education, sustainability, and community.
I am deeply proud to be the VC of PUMC and to walk this journey with such passionate members who believe in giving back to society, protecting our environment, and investing in the future of our children.
Together, we are not just planting trees … we are planting dreams, opportunities, and a greener tomorrow. 🌍🌱

As we fully embrace our activities in 2025, let us remember the significance of showing kindness and compassion to those in need, as this is what God calls us to do.
Today, I followed up on the progress of four students supported by the KIPRONO DAVID SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM initiated by Director Kiprono David O.G.W. The beneficiaries—Sharon Cheptoo, Mercy Cherotich, Abigael Chebet, and Sharon Cherono—are all doing well in their studies. Their school fees for this term have been paid to the bank accounts of their respective schools, ensuring their uninterrupted education until they complete secondary school.
Many of you may recall Sharon Cherotich’s case, which went viral last year after she was accused of theft and badly harassed by traders in a Bomet market. Deeply moved by her plight and the public outcry, Mr. Kiprono took the initiative to sponsor her education, transferring her from Kipsonoi Secondary School, a day school, to Sosit Girls Secondary School, a boarding institution, to provide her with a better learning environment.
On the day Sharon reported to Sosit Girls, the principal made a humble request for Mr. Kiprono to sponsor another needy student, Abigael Chebet. Without hesitation, he accepted. Today, both Sharon and Abigael are in Form 2.
Another beneficiary, Mercy Cherotich, is the daughter of Mama Jackline from Ndaraweta, Bomet County, whom Mr. Kiprono helped last year by building her a decent home. Mercy is currently a Form 4 student at Kabusare Secondary School.
The fourth student, Sharon Cheptoo, is a Form 3 student at Chagaik Secondary School. She lost both parents, and Mr. Kiprono took up her sponsorship after her grandmother, a grocery vendor at Chepseon Market, approached him, sharing her struggles in financing Cheptoo’s education. Since early last year, he has been supporting her schooling.
As these four students continue their education, I am also pleased to share the success stories of the first beneficiaries of this scholarship program—Mercy Njuguna, Alex Macharia, and Sarah Wambui from Langalanga Secondary School in Nakuru County. They performed exceptionally well in last year’s KCSE, scoring B+, B-, and C+, respectively, securing university admission.
I share these stories to inspire all of us to extend a helping hand to the most vulnerable in society. By supporting one another, we foster a more compassionate and hopeful world. Let’s make 2025 a year of impact, where we uplift others and work together to build a brighter future.
