Today, I was honored to attend the invitation of Farouk Kibet, a Thanksgiving Mass, and the handing over of a school bus at St John Paul II Chepterwai Girls Senior School I was joined by Hon. Kimani Ichung’wah and Sen. Aaron Cheruiyot, alongside fellow leaders, clergy, and Christian faithful.

The Holy Mass was presided over by Bishop John Kiplimo Lelei of the Kapsabet Diocese. It was a moment of gratitude as we gathered before God to give thanks for the school’s outstanding performance over the past years. We commend the dedication and commitment of the parents, teachers, and students whose hard work continues to bring pride and honor to this great institution.
Among the leaders present were my colleagues Hon. Mwengi Mutuse, Hon. John Bwire, Hon. Innocent Mugabe, Hon.David Ndakwa, Julius Melly, Hon.Maryanne Kaitany, Hon.Bernard Kitur, and Hon.Japheth Nyakundi, together with MCAs from Nandi, Uasin Gishu, and Kakamega counties, among other distinguished leaders.

Later in the day, I joined the Sisokhe Senior Secondary School fraternity during their AGM, a significant occasion that brought together stakeholders to reflect, strengthen unity and reaffirm our shared commitment to quality education.

I commended the dedication of the teachers, parents and students towards academic excellence, and encouraged learners to remain focused, disciplined and confident in their ability to achieve a brighter future through hard work and determination.

Earlier today, I had the honour of attending the AGM and Thanksgiving Ceremony at Nang'anda Senior School, where we came together with students, teachers, parents and the community to celebrate academic excellence and give thanks for the school’s achievements.

It was inspiring to witness the dedication and hard work that continues to shape bright futures for our learners. I encouraged students to remain disciplined, focused and consistent in pursuing their dreams. I was also delighted to recognize and award top-performing students for their outstanding performance.

Education remains the foundation of community transformation and I remain committed to supporting learning institutions across Navakholo Constituency.

It is with deep sorrow following demise of Mr. Joseph Wandera Matundu, former Principal of Friends Secondary School Musaga and Founding Principal of Weremba Muslim Secondary School.

He was a dedicated educator, mentor, and leader who positively impacted many lives through his service and guidance.

My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, former students, and the entire education fraternity during this difficult time.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
