The Universities Fund joins all Kenyans in celebrating Madaraka Day.

The Universities Fund has been engaging students, parents, and members of the public at the ongoing Madaraka Day exhibitions in Wajir County, sharing information on scholarships and higher education funding opportunities.

The engagement continues as the country prepares for Madaraka Day celebrations, with the Fund committed to ensuring learners are informed about available pathways to university education.

Thematic Session 3 of the Madaraka Day celebrations brought together policymakers, university leaders, and education experts to discuss the future of education in shaping a knowledge-driven society. Key conversations focused on innovation, research, technology, and skills development as drivers of national transformation. Our Ag. CEO, Dr Wanyonyi, joined other panelists in the discussions.

The Universities Fund (UF) team engaging stakeholders during the 63rd Madaraka Day Celebrations 2026 and Education Week Exhibitions in Wajir County.

The team shared information on UF scholarships and encouraged eligible students to seek placement in public universities, before the KUCCPS application portal closes in a few days.

Scholarship applications are made after university placement is completed, and when Higher Education Financing (HEF) Portal opens.
