With support from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, UNICEF is enhancing maternal and newborn health in by setting up learning hubs at county referral hospitals.
One of these hubs is located in Kilifi County, where healthcare workers are trained in emergency care and quality improvement for newborn care. This has helped reduce mortality rates and improve the quality of healthcare for both mothers and their babies.
