Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, former President of the United Republic of Tanzania, as the African Union High Representative/Special Envoy for South Sudan.

April 1, 2026 Joint Statement on Transitional Government Actions in Akobo The Embassies of Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America take note of the SSPDF's call for humanitarian organizations to return to Akobo.

🔴 BREAKING NEWS: Massacre in Khor-Kaltan, Central Equatoria

The NAS-RCC condemns a brutal attack in Khor-Kaltan near Jebel Iraq, where over 75 civilian miners were killed and at least 27 critically injured. The victims were non-combatants engaged in lawful work.

NAS-RCC demands:
• An independent, impartial international investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.
• The people of South Sudan to stand united and vigilant against insecurity and oppression.

The group also denounces the planned December 2026 elections as illegitimate, urging citizens to reject a sham political process.

Anthony Juma, Acting Information Secretary, extended condolences to the families and pledged solidarity with survivors.

NAS-RCC Chairman, Gen. Mario Loku Thomas who also serves as the 2nd Deputy Chairman of UPA and NAS-RCC Secretary General, Hon. Daniel Chol Mading, today paid a courtesy call on the Chairman of SSUF, Gen. Poul Malong, who concurrently serves as the 1st Deputy Chairman of UPA.

The National Salvation Front – Revolutionary Command Council (NAS-RCC) has officially launched a new logo and flag, marking what its leadership described as a renewed commitment to its revolutionary movement in South Sudan.

In a message released on March 15, 2026, the NAS-RCC Chairman and Commander-in-Chief, Gen. Mario Loku Thomas Jada, said the new symbols represent the sacrifice, unity, and determination of the movement and its supporters.

He stated that the flag and logo symbolize the struggle for dignity, freedom, and justice for the people of South Sudan, emphasizing that the movement’s fight is aimed at confronting injustice and improving the lives of citizens.

According to the statement, the new banner will serve as a sign of unity and resistance, with a call for supporters to raise it across counties, bomas, and villages throughout the country.

The chairman also urged members to remain disciplined, united, and committed to the movement’s vision of restoring security, unity, and dignity.

As we continue to progress in transformation of NAS-RCC Movement, this is New flag and it is explain as follows:
1. Red color on top represents sacrifice of blood, courage, revolutionary heroine/heroes, and radical change.
2. Green color in the middle represents our nutural environment and our resources in general.
3. the black color in the bottom represents our distinguish natural color as African people.
4. The crowing c**k or rooster in the white triangle represents triumph of light over the darkness, a start of a New beginning and our call to the people of South Sudan to rise and participate in the struggle for free violence South Sudan.
5. Rising sun represents hope and New beginning for a brighter future of South Sudan under NAS-RCC
6. White color represents sustainable peace for South Sudan.
