“pastoooor”. Chiamaka mother ran back to the sitting room in fear to call him over to help open the door. When they all rush there, they knocked the door severally and no response. The pastor and one other man started kicking the door forcefully. Fears written all over the granny's face.

The pastor's wife ordered Benita to bring knife from the kitchen but the another man that follows the pastor goes outside and get a small iron in which they used in destroying the door. Thankfully the door opened and in awe they saw Chiamaka dangling on air with a cloth already on her neck in su***de mission.

“Ewooooooo”. Her mother cries out wrapping her hands over her head.

The two men in a rush quickly raise the stool that have fallen up and climb it fast to bring Chiamaka down. She was already galloping, struggling to breathe her final breath before they broke in. In a rush, she was taking to the hospital in the pastor’s car.

“Chiamaka why, why are you doing this to me. Whyyyyyy”. Her mother sobbed.

At the hospital she was taking into the emergency room. Her mother in-law quickly called her husband who in no time leave the contract meeting he was and ran to the hospital in worry.

Just in a twinkling of an eye the snake became invisible to the surprised of the doctors and others. They didn’t utter anything as they quickly wrap up what they are supposed to do.

When they finished, Chiamaka was taking into another room where anyone could enter to see her. She was so weak that she couldn’t open her eyes but can hear if anyone speaks. Her husband and mother later entered to check on her. Her mother sat beside her till the next day. In the morning she eventually opened her eyes staring at her mother.

“Sorry my daughter, sorry.” Her mother said in consolation.

She smiles and nodded her head in joy thinking her baby is alive. She raised her head up a bit to look over for the baby cot in other to see her baby but she couldn’t find any.
