We were delighted to be part of a transformative medical outreach in Vihiga County, held at Ivona Primary School in Chavakali.
The medical camp attracted thousands of residents who turned up for mental health, cancer, and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) education, screening, treatment, blood donation, and referral, among other essential services.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Ouma Oluga, Principal Secretary for Medical Services, commended the residents for turning up in large numbers to benefit from the free medical camp. He also appreciated the various medical facilities, including KUTRRH, for their strong presence and commitment to supporting the outreach.
During the outreach, KUTRRH also showcased its advanced services, highlighting the hospital’s capacity to deliver specialized and comprehensive care to patients across the country.
KUTRRH actively participated in the outreach through its team of nurses, clinicians, and laboratory technologists, who worked diligently to attend to patients and provide quality care.
This outreach forms part of a series of community-focused, last-mile interventions aimed at translating health policies into action through close collaboration with community health structures and county governments, ultimately improving access to healthcare at the grassroots level.
