The Network of African Countries on Local Building Materials and Technologies aims at strengthening local technological capacities in member countries through facilitating information flow, regional cooperation and the transfer of appropriate technologies in low-cost and innovative building materials sector in various African countries.
The Union has further developed a Dissemination Journal for it's Network members that aims to provide a channel for information that could be of use by professionals, technicians, researchers, and policy- and decision-makers.
The journal over years has been viable medium for information exchange and a facilitator for the acquisition of suitable technologies and know-how.
Kenya Building Research Centre
The Centre conducts research in selected research areas in the building construction industry and on building materials and technologies.
