Today, Kericho Governor Erick Mutai has officially survived a second impeachment attempt after the Senate ruled that the removal motion didn’t meet constitutional requirements—defeating it by a 26–16 margin!

The proceedings raised serious red flags over the credibility of the County Assembly’s electronic voting system, including IP discrepancies and allegations of undue influence. Controversial testimonies and fierce scrutiny have dominated the debate.
