PRESS RELEASE: STATEMENT ON ALLEGED UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO DIGITAL HEALTH SYSTEM

The Digital Health Agency, in collaboration with the Kiambu County Department of Health leadership, held a review meeting to address emerging challenges and develop a coordinated approach toward advancing the national digitization agenda.

During the meeting, Samuel Kamau, Senior Digital Health Officer at DHA highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with development partners and stakeholders, noting that such partnerships are critical enablers in accelerating the digitization of public health facilities across the county.

The Digital Health Agency, in collaboration with Isiolo County Government, held a county leadership sensitization meeting to deliberate on the progress, challenges, and emerging issues surrounding the rollout and implementation of the Taifa Care system. The meeting aimed to align stakeholders on a coordinated strategy to support the digitization of public health facilities across the county.

Samuel Kamau Senior digital health officer noted that digital health is a leadership-driven reform that determines the speed, sustainability, and county adoption of digital systems, while ensuring alignment between national priorities and county realities.

Digital Health Agency brought together the health leadership of Marsabit County to deliberate on emerging challenges and align on a coordinated strategy to support the digitization of public health facilities across the county.

The County’s Chief Officer for Health, Dr. Alamin Adan, urged all health workers to embrace the system in order to improve efficiency, ensure continuity of patient care, enhance the reliability of health data for informed decision-making, and strengthen healthcare service delivery across the county.

Today, the Digital Health Agency (DHA) held a review meeting with Kisii County health leadership aimed at advancing the national agenda of digitizing public health facilities. The initiative seeks to strengthen service delivery, improve quality, efficiency, and continuity of care, while ensuring real-time and reliable health data management.

During the meeting, issues raised by stakeholders and health workers were addressed by the DHA and SHA teams, leading to constructive discussions and desirable outcomes.

County officials, including C.O.H Susan Kalinda and CECM Ronald Nyakweba, emphasized the importance of digitization in enhancing effective healthcare service delivery. They concluded by appreciating the Digital Health Agency for the commendable progress made in implementing digitization across various counties.

The Digital Health Agency today convened Nyamira County’s health leadership to align on strategic objectives, implementation priorities, and key areas of collaboration to support the successful rollout and long-term sustainability of digital health systems.

This engagement marks a significant step in advancing the national agenda to digitize public health facilities, with the aim of strengthening service delivery, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing accountability across the health system.

The Digital Health Agency convened Narok County’s health leadership today to review progress, address emerging challenges, and align on a coordinated approach to advancing the digitization of public health facilities.

The engagement provided a valuable platform for participants to deepen their understanding of the core principles of digital transformation, assess organizational readiness, and promote peer learning and collaboration as critical enablers of harmonized and impactful implementation across the health sector.

Also in attendance was the CECM for Health, Hon. Vivian Sereti, who delivered remarks and commended the Digital Health Agency for its commitment to engaging directly with Narok County.
