On the afternoon of the unveiling of our party, Democracy for the Citizens Party, yesterday in Nairobi, there was a fiery debate and a friendly fight in my Wamunyoro village.

The villagers couldn't agree whether the party symbol is expressed by touching the left or right ear.

The elders, afraid of further escalation into the weekend, summoned me at night on a diplomatic mission and clarification.

In the esteeem I hold my elders, and the listening Philosophy of our Party, I have this morning, in the company of Hon. Njeri Maina and Hon. Mathenge met the representatives of the village and clarified that it is the right EAR.

I further briefed them on the political happenings in the country and the 4th June 2025 Grand launch of the DCP party.

The DCP Party leader, H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH , has condemned the brutal actions meted to him, his family and his supporters by goons sent by known senior government officials on Thursday during the Launch of the DCP Party.

The Party Leader recounted that in November of the last year, goons under police es**rt were sent to attack him and mourners at a funeral in Limuru. He claimed that the leader of an organized criminal gang, whom the government engaged with in the mountain region for support, attacked his wife and Christians during a prayer meeting in Nyeri, which he said discredited the altar of God.

He also stated that in December of the same year, police threw teargas canisters at him and wananchi during a prayer meeting in Nyandarua County.

In January this year, he said that goons under police es**rt were sent to evict his children from an office they had leased and operated for five years.

He further added that in April, similar to an incident in 2007 when goons were sent to attack children at Kiambaa church, goons under police es**rt attacked him and Christians inside a PCEA church.

Gachagua added that recently, goons were again sent to attack him and members of the DCP at the party headquarters. He pointed out that police have complained about being prevented from arresting and prosecuting those responsible in these incidents.

He has questioned why the government does not simply accept that they have lost his support and that of his followers and suggested they should seek support elsewhere.

Finally, the DCP Leader has asked whether it does not bother their conscience that they have resorted to using criminal gangs and goons to intimidate and attack those who no longer support them.
