The extension of the SGR to Kisumu is long overdue.

Anyone who has endured the Rironi–Mau Summit stretch knows this too well — it’s a test of patience. Endless traffic, stalled trailers, and during festive seasons… what should be a few hours turns into a full-day “road trip.” By the time you arrive, you’ve made new friends, shared snacks, and probably reconsidered your life choices.
Yet today, as steps are taken to change this reality, some would rather mock than reflect.

It is easy to laugh from the sidelines. It is harder to admit that for years, this corridor has choked under pressure, holding back trade, frustrating travelers, and slowing down the immense economic potential of the western region.

The extension of the SGR to Kisumu, alongside the Rironi–Mau Summit Road, is not a political talking point; it is a practical solution. A shift from wasted hours to productive movement.
Those dismissing it today may not feel the urgency, but the traders, farmers, transporters, and families who have spent countless hours on that road certainly do.

Many people think Moses Budamba Mudavadi is simply the son of the Prime Cabinet Secretary of Kenya, H.E. Musalia Mudavadi. Few know that he served in the National Intelligence Service (NIS) for ten years.

During the DusitD2 terror complex attack in January 2019 (in the middle of Westlands), he bravely rescued his brother and then went back in to help save others.
