It has taken me a couple of hours to come to terms with the demise of Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Kenya.
Raila has been a figure a lot of Kenyans look up to,a figure of hope, courage and unyielding patriotism. His voice carried the dreams of generations and his sacrifices shaped the soul of our nation. The pain of this loss is immeasurable. Kenya mourns deeply.

Today, I joined the family of Ogembo of the Kobondo clan, Kamolo subclan in Kachien, Central Kasipul, in mourning the loss of a remarkable woman. Nyahero was not just a mother, but a cornerstone of her family and a guiding light within the wider community. Her warmth, wisdom, and deep knowledge of medicinal remedies earned her respect across our community.

In these difficult times, we stand in solidarity with the bereaved, honoring Nyahero’s legacy and the indelible mark she leaves behind. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her family find strength and comfort in the love she so generously gave.

We are deeply saddened and struggling to come to terms with the sudden and tragic loss of our mentor, father, and leader, Hon. Sir Charles Ongondo Were, Member of Parliament for Kasipul Constituency. It is with heavy hearts that we mourn a great man who was reportedly shot this evening along Ngong Road in Nairobi.
As residents of Kasipul, we grieve together and remember a man who devoted his life to service, leadership, and the well-being of his people. We call upon the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and bring those responsible to justice.
