In Central Imenti, Meru County, construction of engineering workshops at Mukiria Technical Training Institute is 30% complete and making steady progress, as inspected by Eastern Regional Commissioner, Paul Rotich and the National Government Coordination Secretariat.

The Technical Institute currently has an enrolment of up to 3,700 trainees, with 1,345 benefiting from scholarships under the new Higher Education Funding Model.

Kaelo Technical and Vocational College

As part of the nationwide effort to establish technical and vocational training institutions (TVETs) that impart practical skills for entrepreneurship, Kaelo Technical and Vocational College in North Imenti is currently training 700 youth from the local community and beyond.

During an inspection of 3 newly constructed classrooms and the fully operational ICT Jitume lab, Eastern Regional Commissioner, Paul Rotich alongside the National Government Coordination Secretariat acknowledged the significant investment in building a skilled workforce.

In Kirinyaga County, Mwea East Division, National Government Administrative Officers (NGAO,s) led by County Commissioner (CC) Hussein Alaso joined forces with Fortune Sacco, Carlitas associations and Red-cross Kenya to provide aid to 125 households affected by floods.

Families received essential supplies and were assured of continuous support to ensure their safety.
