What will we leave behind in the lives of those we serve?

Today, I joined Prime Cabinet Secretary H.E. Musalia Mudavadi, Rt. Hon. Moses Wetang’ula and fellow mourners at Quakers Church, Lang’ata, to honour Ambassador Burudi Nabwera. From representing Lugari to serving as Kenya’s first Ambassador to the United States and Permanent Representative to the UN, he carried our nation’s hopes far beyond home.

His devotion to Kenya and his family reminds me why our work matters: service must touch lives. We honour him by serving with integrity and care, every day. To his family, poleni sana. May God comfort you. Rest peacefully, Mzee.

I joined His Excellency President William Ruto at the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) in Kapsabet, Nandi County at The Eliud Kipchoge Stadium, for a Sunday service and the official opening of ACK Kapsabet Plaza. The completion of this landmark project, which has taken approximately a decade, marks a significant milestone for the church and the wider community.

I commend the leadership of ACK and all those who contributed to bringing this long-awaited project to completion, including President William Ruto for his support. This achievement demonstrates the importance of partnership, commitment and collective effort in turning long-standing dreams into reality for the benefit of our communities.

Present Leaders were Prime Cabinet Secretary H.E. Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi, H.E. Stephen Sang the host Governor, CS Kipchumba Murkomen, CS Opiyo Wandayi, majority leader Hon Kimani Ichung’wa among other leaders.

What a beautiful Sunday in Kapsabet! Faith brought us together, and a wonderful achievement gave us even more reason to celebrate.

I joined H.E. President William Ruto and ACK faithful for Sunday worship at Eliud Kipchoge Stadium in Kapsabet, Nandi County, and the opening of ACK Kapsabet Plaza. The fellowship made it special. The plaza will house shops and offices, with rental income intended to support the Church’s ministry and community programmes. It also offers space for local enterprise. Faith translated into practical service.

With us were Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Governor Stephen Sang, CS Kipchumba Murkomen and CS Opiyo Wandayi, and Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah. Hongera to ACK’s leadership, its faithful and all who helped bring this project to life. May it serve Kapsabet well for years to come.

Matthew 18:20 says:

“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

A welcoming voice. A well-managed diary. A request that reaches the right desk. Secretaries help keep public service moving, often without the applause.

I warmly received Kenya National Secretaries Association (KENASA) National Chairperson Marylelia Kuchio, National Treasurer Elizabeth Lucy Kinga and National Secretary Risper Lumidi for a courtesy call. We reviewed their progress, activities and challenges, and explored how closer collaboration with our State Department can strengthen the Association.

To secretaries across Kenya: asanteni for the work people may never see, but depend on every day. Supporting you is part of serving wananchi better.

The applause was wonderful. Now comes the part that matters most.

In Eldama Ravine, I stood with H.E. President William Ruto as we opened the Huduma Centre. My thanks to Hon. Musa Sirma, Huduma Kenya and the NG-CDF for making this partnership count. These photos capture the joy of the occasion. What they cannot yet show are the moments that matter most: a question answered, a citizen listened to, a problem resolved.

The applause may fade, but our commitment to serve must never.
