This Labour Day, I celebrate the Kenyans whose diligence drives our economy.
To my IEBC staff: I have seen you trudging through mud without gumboots, crossing flooded rivers, and enduring the blistering sun. You did not just do a job, you executed a heroic mission.
Your sacrifice is the bedrock upon which the 2027 General Election will stand.
Happy Labour day!

Today marks the end of the Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration (ECVR) exercise.
I sincerely thank everyone who turned out to register as a voter and took part in shaping the future of our nation.
As affirmed under Article 38 of the Constitution, every citizen has the right to exercise their political rights, including participating in free, fair, and regular elections. These rights can only be realized through voter registration, which is the gateway to active participation in the electoral process. Kenyan democracy is therefore in your hands.
Please note that voter registration will continue at Huduma Centres, the IEBC Customer Experience Centre at Anniversary Towers in Nairobi, as well as at IEBC Constituency Offices.

May joy fill your hearts and guide our Nation forward. Happy Easter.

Looks like the April Fools' Day prank did its job, it flew right over our Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) social media admin’s head.
But jokes aside, let’s not let the moment distract us from what truly matters. No pranks here, just a genuine call to action. 🇰🇪
Kenyans, especially the youth, this is your moment. Take advantage of the ongoing enhanced voter registration exercise across the country and make your voice count. Be part of the decision by registering as a voter.
Step up today. Tell your friends, your family, your whole squad. Let’s channel that same energy into shaping our democracy.

On this International Women’s Day, we celebrate the courage, leadership, and resilience of women across Kenya who continue to shape the future of our democracy.
Women are not only participants in our electoral processes but they are leaders, decision-makers, and drivers of national progress. A stronger democracy is built when women’s voices are fully heard and represented.
As the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, we reaffirm our commitment to inclusive elections and equal participation for all.
Happy International Women’s Day!

I was honoured to lead Kenya’s delegation to New Delhi for the India International Conference on Democracy and Election Management (IICDEM) 2026, a truly enriching global forum that brought together 43 Heads of Electoral Management Bodies and 23 international missions.
The conference provided a vital platform for dialogue on strengthening democratic processes, learning from one another, and building resilient electoral systems. Through open exchange, we deepened our shared understanding of contemporary electoral challenges, best practices, innovation, and the co-creation of practical solutions.
I held a bilateral meeting with Election Commission of India Chief Elections Commissioner, Shri Gyanesh Kumar, during which we exchanged views on our shared vision, insights, and key areas of collaboration. Particular emphasis was placed on advancing electoral technology and structured knowledge-sharing between EMBs, identified as critical pillars for future cooperation.
I also had the opportunity to lead discussions on two thematic priorities: technology-driven voter registration and the Model Code of Conduct as implemented by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC), both of which generated valuable comparative insights.
These engagements reaffirm the importance of global partnerships in safeguarding democratic ideals and continuously improving electoral integrity.
