From all of us here at The MINT!

The MINT Library is a borrowing facility for children's books, ages 4 - 15 years old. It is based in Westlands, Nairobi.

You may be wondering, why is it called The MINT?

'Mint' is a word that is usually used in relation to the process of making coin money. A mint is a place where money is coined. Money is a valuable resource, therefore the minting process produces something of great value. It also has the connotation of something excellent, or in great condition.

The MINT Library is a place where we intend to prepare young people to become great wherever they are placed in life. We use the tool of knowledge, via the reading of books, to achieve this. We also create a space for developing excellent writing skills that are beneficial throughout the course of their education journey.

For now, we only offer borrowing services to nurture and support the reading culture in our children.

In 2026 we plan to have a space where the children can come and read, learn creative writing, learn story-telling and participate in other activities that contribute to their all-round education.
