𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐒 𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐔𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘 ✝️

𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 🎉 are just ending, and christian faithfuls were yet again reminded of the significance of this period - Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, his arrest, crucifixion and burial, and eventually, His resurrection from the dead.

NOW, from a security perspective, and with a closer look at Jesus' confidants (Judas Iscariot, Peter) and enemies alike, considered within a narrow compass of the role of the "SOLDIERS" - the identification of Jesus by Judas, the attack on a soldier by Peter et al-we arrive at very interesting viewpoints: There's a sense that the ROMAN SOLDIERS played a very pivotal role serving as the direct instrument for fulfilling numerous Old Testament prophecies regarding the Messiah's death and divinity.

BUT TODAY, walk with me as we expand the boundaries of this discussion by looking at the NEXUS between SPIRITUALITY & SECURITY... SHALL WE?

Think about this: Much has changed since Jesus walked on Earth, but the more they have remained the same. Even more profoundly so, Centers of Worship and the human populace continue to suffer from insecurities and disruptions of safety. And your PLACE OF WORSHIP, maybe your own person could be NEXT.

𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 - security is not just the absence of trouble, but the presence of God's peace (John 14:27) and a sense of calm regardless of external circumstances. Spirituality on the other hand centres security as a resident of that beautiful intersection of inner resilience, ethical frameworks, and the search for meaning in a volatile world.

All signs were that the month of love was not gonna end without something quite astonishingly powerful happening: This was exactly the case yours truly received, and honored an invitation to "preach" security to Deliverance Church International's Delta Security, and more fittingly, from the ALTAR.
And you can safely add that this "solemnization" was overseen by a very senior DCI official, the National Coordinator, Rev. Dr. Margaret Muchai.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 "𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒍" 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑫𝒆𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒅
The concept of security is the history of creation itself. Order, extremely keen and methodical placement of "materials" by God, including "lighting" (let there be light) bore all the hallmarks of a "defined" environment.
Now shrewdly studied and employed by security sleuths, the concept of 𝑪𝑷𝑻𝑬𝑫 (𝑪𝒓𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝑬𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏) remains God's foremost consideration in creation itself, and of not just mankind and the universe, but all there is to KNOW about Security & Safety.

𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒔 𝑺𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒅
👭👬𝑴𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕, 𝑩𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆, 𝑨𝒍𝒍 𝑹𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝑫𝒆𝒇𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆.
When Cain killed Abel, the insecurity suffered birthed the concept of "brother's keeper", a powerful, yet often ignored buddy-buddy system which counsels balance, mutual support, surveillance, all round defence and protection, among others.

🕸️𝑳𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚
Layered Security as a concept of security is to be found in the "Tent of Worship" where carefully selected 212 Levites were "deployed" by prophet Samuel and King David. And what's more, from access control, to more serious guard duties "at" the special rooms and treasuries, to key handling and rotation patterns are an exhibition of extremely keenly defined security programs.

🏥𝑩𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒕 𝒊𝒏, ⚒️𝑵𝑶𝑻 𝑩𝒐𝒍𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑶𝒏
And yes, whereas security and safety can sometimes attract a level of nonchalance, their import cannot be downplayed; ignoring security and safety in instances, invite heavy suffering, loss even death: "You can evade reality, but you cannot evade the consequences of evading reality," Ayn Rand.

🧐𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆
Mordecai was less regarded, even ignored. It was until his rather game changing intelligence saved King Ahasuerus' life. In a rather beautiful twist of events, Mordecai's story is celebrated annually during the Jewish holiday of Purim.

The rather novel idea to "hibernate" in the pr******te Rahab's house by two Israeli spies, and the resultant rich intelligence obtained from a rather "dismissible" figure, enabled the successful onslaught on Jericho.

I am sure you're now seeing more clearly the nexus between security and spirituality.
Rest assured there's a world of meaning when you consider the two as marital partners, and yet there's quite a world yet to explore when you learn "at" the feet of the two, and with yours truly as the PREACHER.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐈𝐆 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐈𝐒⁉️ , who is most at risk? Where are we safe? Is it in the Church, mosque, a nondescript workplace or School?

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 remains one of the most significant, complex, and evolving threats to global peace and security. With increasing pressures of sorts, societies have become ripe breeding grounds for terror cells the leverage of digital evolution - social media, encrypted communication platforms, and cryptocurrencies for recruitment, fundraising, and operational planning - for both reach and capability. Bad news, unlike other threats, the complexity of terrorism is that, being ideological, radicalization is silent, hidden, and can be projected from half a world away, and the ex*****on is increasingly becoming just as "miniaturized", i.e in the case of 𝑳𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝑾𝒐𝒍𝒇 𝑨𝒕𝒕𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒔.

Being transnational, and under as rightfully put in some quarters that "terrorism anywhere, is terrorism everywhere", we cannot afford to wish away this threat..

𝑻𝑶𝑫𝑨𝒀, 𝑰 𝒔𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒂 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏, 𝒂 𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝕄𝕒𝕤𝕥𝕖𝕣 𝔹𝕚𝕝𝕝𝕪 𝕆𝕜𝕒𝕝 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒐 𝑺𝑼𝑹𝑽𝑰𝑽𝑬 𝒂 𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒓 𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒂𝒄𝒌. The simplified ideas discussed here are just as significant as they can be the difference between you surviving an attack, or becoming yet another sad statistic 🥲😨
