Kiambu County is transforming under President William Samoei Rutoโs leadership. The Kikuyu Affordable Housing Project is underway with 1,140 units and over 1,000 young people employed, part of a KSh 43 billion plan for 17,000 homes, 30 markets, and student hostels.
Education is also a priority: Alliance High and Alliance Girls are getting new dormitories, classrooms, a sports academy, and a KSh 45 billion solar project to power 3,200 schools. Nachu Technical College will also benefit from new hostels.
Infrastructure and health are advancing too, with major road upgrades including the Gitaru Interchange and Pangani-Kiambu Road, while the Social Health Authority (SHA) has supported hospitals and registered over 1.3 million residents.
Kiambu is moving forwardโbetter homes, schools, roads, and healthcare for the people!

FREE SENIOR DAY SCHOOL: EDUCATION WITHOUT BARRIERS
The Government has fully eliminated school fees for Senior Day Schools, ensuring that no child is locked out of education due to inability to pay. Parents pay Sh0, while the Government covers Sh22,244 per learner per year, easing the financial burden on families and promoting equal access to education.
For boarding schools, the Government continues to shoulder a significant share of costs:
National Boarding Schools: Parents contribute up to Sh53,554, with Government paying Sh22,244 per learner annually.
Extra County Boarding Schools: Parents contribute up to Sh40,535, with the same Government support of Sh22,244 per learner.
Special Needs Schools: Parents pay only Sh12,790, while the Government provides Sh57,974 per learner per year, reflecting enhanced support for learners with special needs.
Fees are paid in a 50:30:20 termly structure, and no extra charges are allowed beyond the approved fees. This policy underscores the Governmentโs commitment to affordable, inclusive, and quality education for all learners.
Education is a right, not a privilege.
