For too long, Bahati Constituency has been treated as a political marketplace where outsiders arrive with deep pockets, use money and influence to capture leadership, and vanish once they secure power. They come during election season, make promises, mobilize support, and after winning, the people are left to deal with the same challenges they have faced for years.
Bahati is not a commodity. Bahati is home. Bahati is not for sale.
Our youth and community must reject the temptation of short-term handouts that disappear within days while we remain forgotten for the next five years. We need leadership that is consistent, accessible and committed to the people—not leadership that only remembers us when votes are needed.
Leadership should not be seasonal. It should be a continuous commitment to service.
At a time when many only remember Bahati during campaigns, Hon. John Karanja Quindos (JKQ) has continued to identify with the people of Bahati. As a son of this constituency, he understands our realities and has consistently demonstrated his commitment to education, families, youth and community development.
The moment has come for the people of Bahati to take back ownership of their political destiny.
Let us choose leaders who understand our struggles, share our aspirations and are willing to walk with us beyond election season. Let us protect Bahati’s resources and demand leadership that puts the interests of our people first.
Bahati belongs to its people. Bahati deserves leadership from within.
The journey to a stronger and more empowered Bahati starts with choosing a leader who has remained part of our community.
Hon. John Karanja Quindos — a son of Bahati, committed to the future of Bahati.
