Gor Mahia Patron Eliud Owalo mourns the passing of former player and coach Allan Thigo, a towering figure whose dedication and passion for football left an indelible mark on Kenyan football.
Thigo served Gor Mahia F.C. with distinction for 12 seasons between 1970 and 1981, scoring 88 goals and guiding the club as player-coach to the historic unbeaten league title triumph of 1976. He was also part of the celebrated squad that reached the 1979 African Cup Winnersโ Cup campaign.
His immense contribution to the growth of Kenyan football and the rich legacy of Gor Mahia F.C. will forever be cherished.
May his soul rest in peace.
