What is the true cost of sanctions for Russia?

Plummeting oil and gas revenues (with Iran war windfalls offering temporary relief, not structural recovery), punishingly expensive borrowing, and the loss of key markets.

It is becoming increasingly difficult for the Kremlin to finance the war against Ukraine. Staying the course delivers results. Sanctions work.

Did you know Kenya is one of the EU’s top suppliers of cut flowers? This long-standing partnership supports jobs, investment and opportunities across the Rift Valley and beyond.

During their visit to Kenya, members of the EU Africa Working Party (COAFR) stepped out of the meeting rooms and into the flower fields, visiting Herburg Roses / Nini Flower Farm in Naivasha. They followed the journey from farm to bouquet – from grading and packing, to plant health checks and the cold-chain logistics that keep flowers fresh all the way to homes and shops across Europe.

The visit also showed how the EU-funded Business Environment and Export Enhancement Programme (BEEEP), implemented by TradeMark Africa, is helping make trade smoother, greener and more inclusive under the Kenya-EU Economic Partnership Agreement.
