DCP Party will be Launched at Kasarani Indoors Arena in 3rd June 2025.

Cleophas Malala is the former Secretary General (SG) of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and the former senator for Kakamega County.

Malala completed his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education at Friends High School Kamusinga before advancing to USIU for his bachelor’s degree.

Cleophas is an award-winning playwright. He scripted and directed a play Shackles of Doom in 2013 and Echoes of War in 2025 which landed Butere girls in trouble.

The lawmaker ventured into politics and was elected MCA of Mahiakalo ward in Kakamega County in 2013. In 2017, he ran for the Kakamega senatorial position which he won.

Cleo Malala is the current Deputy Party Leader of The Democracy for the Citizens Party.

DCP party Highlights

The party features neon green, brown, and white colours, carries the slogan “Skiza Wakenya,” and bears a logo depicting an ear with fingers cupped around it to represent attentiveness to citizen voices.

Gachagua will serve as the party leader, with key interim officials.
