Kibwezi West parliamentary aspirant Kanzala Kana, a staunch supporter of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, has accused President William Ruto of giving former Machakos Senator Johnston Muthama a raw political deal.

Kanzala says Muthama should reconsider his political position and join hands with Kalonzo Musyoka ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The remarks come days after Kalonzo held a private meeting with Muthama in Nairobi, in a move that has triggered speculation over the former UDA chairman's political future. Wiper officials have said the meeting was aimed at bringing Muthama back into the opposition fold.

Kanzala argues that the political interests of the Kamba community would be better served if Muthama and Kalonzo worked together, urging the former Machakos Senator to abandon what he describes as a political arrangement that has not rewarded him adequately.

The Kibwezi West MP aspirant further says the 2027 contest will require Ukambani leaders to unite behind a common political cause, rather than remain divided along individual political interests.
