Today Kha and I put the finishing touches to an order for a wedding.
Bags of Kha's Butterfly Pea Tea and from our Ladies of Mondul 111 reused denim made into heart keyring for all the guests.
I will always love giving the money she earns to Kha. Each time it's a look of...are you sure?....then oh my word....then tears in her eyes.....then a big smile...then she hugs me.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
We will be at Spean Chivit on the 10th December selling Khas Tea and The Ladies of Mondul 111 reused denim bags and hearts and.....see you there for a taste of Kha's love.

Look at that smile!
Sopheak has started making denim bags again from used jeans she gets from the market. We have just had 2 orders of 20 + 8 go out. I had just paid her....💖💖💖
These bags are tough, hold a ton of stuff and last forever, great to take to the market or carry your laptop around in.
So if you are looking at a $5 present to take back home or you are an NGO that wants to reduce the use of plastic here.....place your order now.
Help support local enterprises who have done it so tough over the last few years.
And all money goes directly to Sopheak.

No customers so no income for our ladies. I think everyone in Siem Reap has a bag or coaster or apron now. Our numbers are dwindling.
Now we have no choice but to shut down this project for now. 😩
Thanks to everyone who has supported us and bought our reused denim products. 🌹
Hopefully we can start up again when tourists start coming back.✅✅✅
❤️❤️❤️
P.S. We do have some items left in stock so message me if you need a heavy duty washable reused denim $5 bag or coasters.

Sopheak from The Ladies of Mondul 111 and her family delivered the last of the 150 denim bags to Reach School on Tuesday.
Trying to combat the plastic problem here, more and more organizations are finding new ways of replacing plastic bags. Reusable, washable and strong, these are a great shopping bag, book bag, computer bag, or just an everyday kind of bag.
The Ladies of Mondul 111 are back!
Thanks for supporting local Khmer Emily and your team. # # #

Just when these ladies were starting to earn a good income from home, the tourist left and now the supplier has closed. No work. No income.
How life changes so fast. 😢
But we will be back with the support of the Kitchen of Hope.
These ladies are Khmer! Hard working and resilient.

Please Say No to Plastics.
The kitchen and dining room is up and running but our other project The Ladies of Mondul 111 has something to say about the plastic being used in this photo!
So I will be delivery 3 of the Ladies recycled Denim Grocery Bags (only USD$5 each)to the boys next time I'm out at the Farm Training Centre.
Say no to plastic bags!

Wow what a start to this little home venture for these ladies!
Thank you everyone for supporting this project by buying presents to go home with for family and friends. 🙏🙏🙏 Or our wonderful expat community here!
These make great gifts so here are some more items in the photos below. PM me if you would like to buy or have a question. 😀
Our largest order so far was 18 grocery bags! The look on The Ladies of Mondul 111 face when I gave her the money was just priceless.

Meet Sopheak, one of our hard working Ladies making bags, coasters, aprons and wall hangers out of old jeans from the local market.
A mother of 2 beautiful girls Hanna and Hanny, a wife to loveable hard working tour guide Mab and big sister and guardian to 16 year old Sopheang.
All living together in a small tin shed.
Sopheak and her family now have a sewing room which is also being used as a bedroom for mum and dad. Siengly Electrical will rewire everything tomorrow to make it safe. Electric shocks is not going to happen here!
Wonderful things are now happening for this family because of your support. By buying Sopheaks products all money received goes straight to this family.
Thank you from Sopheak and her family. ♥️🙏♥️

Welcome to the Kitchen of Hope latest project The Ladies of Mondul 111.
Seeing the ladies in these villages working 6 days a week in labouring or cleaning jobs for next to no money, leaving children at home with neighbours or Grandmothers...or just not being able to get jobs...we decided to try to help.
Buying old jeans from the market and investing in sewing machines, teaching ladies to sew and experiment with different ideas is a joy to watch.
Help us keep these ladies at home with their children, help them make a decent wage, help pay for their children's education and put food on their table....check out the items for sale!
We will be having pop up shops around Siem Reap and we will let you know where we will be in coming weeks.
Or PM for orders and we will make it happen.
100% of sales go back to the ladies. ♥️♥️♥️
