[2026 Seoul Comprehensive Heatwave Management Measures]
📅 Period: May 15 – September 30, 2026
📍 Locations: Across Seoul, including Gwanghwamun Square, Cheonggyecheon Stream, and other major public spaces
🚇 Visitor Note: During heatwave alerts, outdoor activities should be minimized. Residents are encouraged to take breaks at nearby Cooling Shelters.

The 2026 Seoul Comprehensive Heatwave Management Measures are designed to help everyone stay cool, safe, and comfortable throughout the hottest months of the year 👇
🧊 Key Cooling Facilities and Services
✔️ Happyso outdoor cooling shelters installed at major public spaces including Gwanghwamun Square and Cheonggye Plaza ⛺
✔️ Expanded shade structures in heat-vulnerable areas such as Cheonggyecheon Stream and Ttukseom to provide relief from direct sunlight ⛱️
✔️ Water spraying, Cooling Fog systems, and Cooling Roads operating throughout the city to help lower surface temperatures 💦
In addition, more than 4,000 Cooling Shelters will be available across Seoul, alongside Cool Roof projects that help reduce building temperatures and a dedicated Heatwave Emergency Response Headquarters operating throughout the season 🌈
