Getting ready for Telecommunicator Week Apr 14-Apr 21

What does it take to be a contract dispatcher? you must be a US Citizen, AHA CPR certified, and IFSAC Proboard Public Safety Telecommunicator I and II. The certification is offered at Alabama Fire College. The cost is on the webpage. There are several contract companies hiring IFSAC certified dispatchers such as PAE, IAP. V2X has locations such as Romania, Iraq, Kuwait, and Qatar.

I have been so busy that I haven’t posted since last year. Our Kuwait dispatch centers are now 100% staffed. We had the honor of hiring 2 city dispatchers from this fb group. If youre interested in oversees dispatching, you must be IFSAC certified. The certification is offered at the Alabama Fire College in Tuscaloosa, AL

Fb ads were a success. We have more dispatch applicants than positions..yay!! Question most asked by candidates…how much does it pay!! Although I can’t give the hourly rate. I’ll say this.. it’s tax free money 60,000-120,000 a year depending on the overtime and there’s always overtime

It is a sad but happy moment today. My right hand man, my mini me, my mentoree after 5 years of being by my side is finally going home. He took a chance and came to Kuwait. He’d never dispatched before but I saw the potential. Within 5 years he became a Supervisor while never losing focus of his goals. He leaves debt free, purchased a home, new car, found a wife who is a nurse, and will be attending Medical school in August. I wish him all the luck and I’m so proud of him. He listened to every advise I gave him!!
