🇬🇧Summer is here and Jazeera Airways on direct Kuwait - Prague route as well. Both capitals are again just less then 5 hours away instead of more then a half day trip. So hop on and come to visit Czechia, or Kuwait.

🇨🇿Léto je tady a s ním i Jazeera Airways na přímé trase Kuvajt - Praha. Obe města jsou opět jen necelých 5 hodin letu místo více než půldenního cestování. Tak naskočte a přijeďte navštívit Česko nebo Kuvajt.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kuwait wishes to all who celebrate a joyful Eid al-Adha ✨🌙

🇨🇿 Velvyslanec J. Chmiel se v doprovodu kolegů zúčastnil velbloudích a koňských dostihů. Oba sporty jsou v Kuvajtu nesmírně oblíbené. Jako čestný host byl velvyslanec na obou dostizích požádán, aby předal cenu hlavnímu vítězi.
Při velbloudích dostizích byl s velvyslancem konzul, p. R. Musil. Zajímavostí je, že velbloudi závodí bez jezdců. Jsou řízeni na dálku vysílačkami z vedle jedoucích aut.
Na koňských dostizích byly i zástupkyně vv, pí A. Otýpková a ekonomická diplomatka, pí T. Valášková. Po skončení napínavých závodů jsme byli pozváni na diváníji jednoho z pořadatelů závodů a majitele koní - Fahada Al Otaibiho.

🇬🇧 Ambassador J. Chmiel, accompanied by colleagues, attended camel and horse races. Both sports are extremely popular in Kuwait. As the guest of honor, the ambassador was asked to present the prize to the main winner at both races. At the camel races, Ambassador was accompanied by Consul, Mr. R. Musil. An interesting fact is that the camels race without riders. They are controlled remotely by radios from cars driving by. Deputy Ambassador, Mrs. A. Otýpková and the Economic Diplomat, Mrs. T. Valášková were also present at the horse races. After the exciting races, we were invited to the diwaniya of one of the organizers of the races and the owner of the horses - Fahad Al Otaibi.

The third edition of the 2025 Roadshow in Kuwait was organized on 9th April by 🇨🇿 Embassy and CzechTourism, in cooperation with VFS Global and Jazeera Airways, which operates seasonal direct flights between our countries, starting from 5th June. 🇨🇿Ambassador greeted the 🇨🇿delegation and 🇰🇼partners from the Prague Military Hospital.
🇨🇿 is well known to 🇰🇼Kuwaitis today, particularly for our spas, which welcome thousands of visitors from Kuwait to our country every year. 🇨🇿Czechia should be on your list of must-visit destinations. There is much to see and to do, whether you’re looking for business, history, natural beauty, fantastic architecture, spas, leisure and relaxation, food or top-class entertainment. 🇨🇿Czechia boasts some of the most gorgeous landscapes on the planet, beautiful cities and famous spas. There are 16 UNESCO World Heritage Sites worth visiting.
The travel magazine Time Out listed Prague even as the most beautiful city in the world, it is undoubtedly a historical pearl of Europe. And let’s not forget Prague’s Castle which is the largest castle complex in the world. Did you know: Czechia has the largest number of castles and chateaux in Europe? There are over 2,000 of them - come and see for yourselves.

Již po třetí v řadě se v Kuvajtu ve dnech 8. až 9. dubna 2025 konala roadshow 🇨🇿 českých firem z oblasti cestovního ruchu a lázeňství. Z důvodu rostoucího zájmu kuvajtských turistů cestovat do 🇨🇿 se zapojila i 🇰🇼letecká společnost Jazeera Airways, která v letošní sezóně opět otevřela přímé lety z Kuvajtu do Prahy. Roadshow umožnila matchmakingová setkání desítek kuvajtských tour operátorů s českými firmami. Česko jako atraktivní turistická destinace i akce samotná byli hojně propagovány v 🇰🇼 médiích. Visit Czechia roadshow 2025 byla organizována velvyslanectvím a agenturou CzechTourism jako projekt Velvyslanec Juraj Chmiel pozdravil 🇨🇿účastníky a 🇰🇼 partnery z Ústřední vojenské nemocnice.

🇨🇿Česká mise, vedená zástupcem vrchní ředitelky Ministerstva obrany ČR, Michalem Rendlou, organizovaná CDA a.i. a vedoucí obchodně-ekonomické sekce Velvyslanectví ČR v Kuvajtu, Dr. Terezou Valáškovou, navštívila v doprovodu zástupců prominentní firemní sféry, ve dnech 14.-15.4.2025 🇰🇼Kuvajt. Českou delegaci přivítal náměstek ministra obrany státu Kuvajt, šejch Dr. Abdullah Al-Sabáh a jeho tým. Delegaci a KW partnery pozdravil i vv Chmiel, videovstupem z ÚVN Praha.
V rámci několika schůzek na vysoké úrovni s představiteli z Ministerstva obrany Státu Kuvajt, Ministerstva vnitra Státu Kuvajt, Kuvajtské národní gardy, Kuvajtského hasičského záchranného sboru a s představiteli velitelství vzdušných sil Kuvajtu, proběhla plodná politické i expertní diskuze k bezpečnostně-obranným otázkám. Jednání o strategických tématech společného zájmu mezi oběma zeměmi 🇨🇿🇰🇼 se vedla v přátelské atmosféře a v duchu posilování 🇨🇿🇰🇼 bilaterálních vztahů.

🇨🇿A Czech delegation headed by the Deputy Assistant Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic, Mr. Michal Rendla, visited 🇰🇼Kuwait on 14th and 15th April 2025. The delegation was welcomed by the Undersecretary, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Meshaal Al-Sabah, and his team. The mission was organized and accompanied by the Embassy’s Chargé d'Affaires a.i. and the Head of Economic Section, Dr. Tereza Valaskova, and brought prominent Czech companies and their representatives to Kuwait. Ambassador Chmiel virtually greeted 🇨🇿Delegation and 🇰🇼Kuwaiti partners from a 🇨🇿Military hospital from Prague.
During meetings at political and expert levels, the delegation had fruitful discussions with high-level representatives and officials from the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Interior of the State of Kuwait and also from Kuwait National Guard, from the Kuwait Fire Force and from Kuwait's Air Force. The meetings catalyzed an exchange of friendly talks and discussions of strategic topics of common interest between the two countries 🇨🇿🇰🇼 Both sides discussed recent developments in the defense and security areas, and opportunities for further fostering the 🇨🇿🇰🇼 bilateral ties.

🇨🇿 Velvyslanec J. Chmiel si v doprovodu ekonomické diplomatky T. Valáškové prohlédl čerstvě instalované české lustry od firmy Lasvit v hotelu The St. Regis Kuwait.
Přivítal je generální manažer hotelu, p. Fahed Abushaar, který si spolupráci s výrobcem nesmírně pochvaloval. Nově nainstalované lustry zdobí stropy v přízemí hotelu a jsou volně dostupné všem návštěvníkům. S Lustry od Lasvitu se tak ocitli, po Assima (největší lustr na světě se zápisem v Guinessově knize rekordů) a Avenues nákupních centrech na dalším prestižním místě v Kuvajtu.

🇬🇧 Ambassador J. Chmiel, accompanied by economic diplomat T. Valášková, inspected the newly installed Czech chandeliers from Lasvit company at The St. Regis Kuwait hotel in Kuwait City. They were met by the hotel's general manager, Mr. Fahed Abushaar, who highly praised the cooperation with the manufacturer. The newly installed chandeliers decorate ceilings on the ground floor of the hotel and are freely accessible to all visitors. Lasvit chandeliers have thus found themselves, after Assima (the largest chandelier in the world, listed in the Guinness Book of Records) and Avenues shopping centers, in another prestigious location in Kuwait.

🇨🇿 Velvyslanec J. Chmiel, v rámci ekonomické diplomacie a v doprovodu ekonomické diplomatky T. Valáškové, navštívil ropné pole Burgan, kde česká firma Dekonta provádí dekontaminaci pouště. Znečištění pochází z doby irácké okupace Kuvajtu v letech 1990-91. Velvyslance zde přivítali zástupci Dekonty, dále kontraktorské skupiny Enshaat a představitelé Kuvajtské ropné společnosti (KOC). Dekonta zde působí v náročných klimatických podmínkách a velvyslance potěšila slova chvály na činnost české firmy.
Velvyslanec děkuje za vřelé přijetí a za možnost vidět činnost Dekonty v terénu.

🇬🇧 As an expression of practical economic diplomacy, Ambassador Juraj Chmiel, and his Head of Economic&Commercial Affairs, Tereza Valášková, paid a visit to the Burgan oil field, where the Czech company Dekonta is employing their expertise and technology to decontaminate vast stretches of the desert. The pollution there dates back to the time of occupation in 1990-91. Ambassador Chmiel and Mrs Valášková were welcomed by Deconta staff, the Enshaat contractor group and representatives of the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC). Dekonta operates in challenging climatic conditions and the Ambassador was pleased about the acknowledgment for the activities of the Czech company.
The Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and for the opportunity to see Dekonta's work in the field. It is a valuable contribution to cleaning up Kuwait's soil for future generations.

🇨🇿 Velvyslanec J. Chmiel opět navštívil, v rámci veřejné diplomacie, Klub zimních sportů na zimním stadionu v Kuvajtu. Při první návštěve ho doprovázela dcera Leona, bývalá juniorská a seniorská reprezentantka Česka v synchronizovaném bruslení. Společně s vedením KW krasobruslařského týmu zhlédli trénink bruslařek a bruslařů.
Při druhé návštěvě velvyslance doprovázely jeho zástupkyně A. Otýpková a ekonomická diplomatka T. Valášková. V doprovodu vedení Klubu zimních sportů, v čele s jeho předsedou, p. F. Al-Ajmim, sledovali hokejový zápas mezi týmy Camels a Mooseheads, tentokrát bez české účasti na ledě.
Představitelé KW klubu si ale vysoce cení českých trénerek, trénerů, hráček a hráčů, kteří v průběhu let pomáhají zlepšovat hokej i krasobruslení v Kuvajtu.

🇬🇧 Ambassador J. Chmiel, as part of public diplomacy, once again visited the Winter Sports Club at the Winter Stadium in Kuwait. On his first visit, he was accompanied by his daughter, Leona, a former junior and senior representative of Czechia in synchronized skating. Together with the leadership of the KW figure skating team, they watched the training of the skaters.
On his second visit, the ambassador was accompanied by his deputy A. Otýpková and economic diplomat T. Valášková.
Together with the leaders of the Winter Sports Club, headed by the chairman of the board of directors of the club, Mr. F. Al-Ajmim, they watched the ice hockey match between the Camels and the Mooseheads teams. The representatives of the KW association highly appreciate the Czech coaches and players who have been helping improve hockey and figure skating in Kuwait over the years.
