To foster peace and freedom KAS encourages a continuous dialog at the national and international levels as well as the exchange between cultures and religions. The KAS Beirut Office implements two distinct programs:

The country program Lebanon emphasizes on democracy, civil society, social market economy, intercultural dialogue, prevention of conflict and Euro-Mediterranean relations, as well as the inter-religious and cultural dialogue in Lebanon. It engages in several activities for its mission and aims that take the form of conferences, seminars, workshops, and forums for dialogue to debates or round tables. Further, it issues publications and engages with policy makers. The country program Lebanon supports projects independently as well as in cooperation with the Rule of Law Program Middle East / North Africa, which is one of five regional rule of law program managed worldwide by the KAS. The Rule of Law Program focuses on the protection of human rights, the separation of power, an independent judiciary and supports regional cooperation instruments that promote rule of law and democracy. It aims to promote primarily the rule of law development through regional seminars, research and training activities. To achieve this, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation works together with a multitude of local partner organizations. Among these are, inter alia, Universities and scientific institutions, Think Tanks, civil society associations and organizations of the private sector as well as governmental institutions and parties.
