Project Re-Lift Padaviya Update 🇱🇰

Over the past few weeks, we’ve witnessed incredible unity and resilience across Sri Lanka. As Live, Love & Give, our focus remains on Padaviya, one of the most affected and often forgotten regions.

✔️ Phase 1 (Dec 9–10): Immediate relief - completed
➡️ Phase 2 (Dec 20–23): Restoring hope, joy & well-being

What’s happening in Phase 2:
🎒 School packs for 237 affected children
🎤 Kids’ talent show + performances with a live band
🎶 A special musical show with Restore - Padaviya’s first-ever concert (Dec 21 | 5PM)
🏥 House-to-house medical clinics with Alabaster International (Dec 22–23)
🍲 Launch of a nutrition kitchen
🧠 Psychological first aid for mental well-being

This season is about more than relief - it’s about restoring dignity, joy, and hope.

As we marked one year since the passing of our dear friend Sajeev, we honoured his memory through an initiative that truly reflected his compassionate spirit.

became a beautiful reality - a heartfelt two-day visit that brought elderly communities from Welioya and Padaviya to the capital city for the very first time.

What may seem like a simple journey from Padaviya to Colombo became a once-in-a-lifetime experience for these elders. For many, it was the fulfillment of a long-held dream and a rare chance to enjoy moments of joy, comfort, and connection.

This journey was more than a trip - it was a gift of dignity, happiness, and unforgettable memories.

Meet Poojani Bimsara, a Grade 11 student at Padavi Mahasen Maha Vidyalaya.

She is a dedicated and well-rounded student with a passion for both academics and extracurricular activities. A talented artist, skilled runner, and martial artist holding a purple belt in Karate, Poojani balances her studies and hobbies with admirable discipline.

Despite financial challenges, her father does hired work. Poojani remains focused, resilient, and determined to achieve her dream of studying Bio Science at university and becoming a doctor.

Through the generous support of Udam, one of our donors, Poojani is receiving the guidance she needs to stay on track toward her career goals.

There are many more students like Poojani who need help to continue their education.
