His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali bin Said Alrashdi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of to , made a courtesy call on the acting Chairman of the BOI, Dr. Sulakshana Jayawardana. During this high-level engagement, both parties reflected on the longstanding relationship between Sri Lanka and Oman. A key highlight of the meeting was a discussion of potential opportunities between Oman and Sri Lanka. The Oman delegates expressed interest in Agro, the supply of fruits, poultry, fishing, and food processing. The food processing sector was the highlight of the discussion and was taken up with great interest due to BOI-ready, investment-structured project proposal.
The Ambassador was accompanied by the delegation team from Oman Food Capital, which belongs to the Oman Investment Authority (OIA), and senior officials of the BOI facilitated the meeting. The meeting concluded with both parties emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and promoting investment partnerships between the two countries.

Mr. Martin Klose, Chief Delegate of the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Sri Lanka (AHK), recently made a courtesy call on Dr. Sulakshana Jayawardena, Acting Chairman of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka.
During this high-level engagement, both parties reflected on the longstanding relationship between the two organizations and the broader bilateral ties between Sri Lanka and Germany.

Sri Lanka is opening its doors to the green future.
The Ministry of Energy and the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BOI) have issued a Request for Information (RFI) for the development of and projects in .
Sri Lanka has set bold targets:
- 70% renewable electricity by 2030
- Carbon neutrality in power generation by 2050
- USD 1 billion in annual green energy export revenue by 2030
With massive offshore wind and solar potential already identified, Sri Lanka's National Hydrogen Roadmap (2023) positions the country as a future regional hub for green hydrogen and ammonia production and export.
This RFI invites qualified local and international investors, developers, and operators to submit project concepts for Green Hydrogen/Ammonia manufacturing, export terminals, storage facilities, and component manufacturing.
