The field visit of the students studying the Diploma in Lifestyle Product Design course of the Nattarampotha Sri Lanka National Design Institute, Kandy wing of the National Design Centre conducted on 08.06.2023 at the Katubedda workshop in the National Design Centre -Srilanka.
Chairman of National Design Center Mr. Kasun Ranathunga who evaluated the interest of the students studying the course emphasized that their opinions should be taken into consideration when expanding the scope of the course.
He said that a special space should be prepared for the designs of these students in the national design exhibition for the era and that opportunities will be created for their designs.
Here, these students were able to gain practical knowledge about how to develop new designs and the use of these raw materials through the handicraft fields of red Clay, Coir, Rush & Reed , wood, Cane and Bamboo, Jewelry.
